Rob Hammond

I am passionate about technology done right. I love working with information retrieval, crawling, big data and generating meaningful insights and actions from diverse sources of information.

I have a broad range of experience working with different web technologies, and can architect and build a variety of highly resilient, scalable data solutions. I am proficient in a number of programming languages, including Python and Node.js, databases such as BigQuery, ElasticSearch and Postgres, and containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

I have designed and built a huge variety of software solutions, mainly focused around scraping and information retrieval, including the award-winning HiveAlpha.

I currently work for the world's leading SEO SaaS company, BrightEdge, as Professional Services Director, EMEA.

I occasionally share thoughts and insights on my personal blog, covering everything from technical deep-dives to quick observations about the evolving world of SEO and web technology.
